New Layout
Posted By: keir dullea online |      No Comments

Well, as you can see I finally have a new layout on both the main site and gallery. Thanks so much to Christine @ pinkchaos. Without her I wouldn’t have been able to get this done. She took what I was thinking, and made it better. Thanks so very much Chrissy for all your work. I’m sure Keir will appreciate your time and effort. I thought I’d go with a now/then motif. Keir as he looks today (and I know there will be some who’ll hate the beard …. I’m looking at you Megan) and a bit of a nostalgia feel on the gallery. I hope you like what I chose to go with. Updates will begin soon. I’m still in the process of getting those images sorted and tagged. They’ll be coming this week. I promise. I may have some more tweaks to do but for the most part the layout is complete. Also, you may have noticed something new in the sidebar. That would be a link to a site I’ve created for Keir’s 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY co-star Gary Lockwood. Click on the link to go there. The reason for the site is that in the collection of images for this site, I’ve collected a lot of Gary. Therefore I thought I’d create a site for him. I’m not sure how big it’ll get, my main priority is Keir’s, but whatever I get of Gary will go in there. So there you have it.

New Holiday Layout
Posted By: keir dullea online |      4 Comments

As you likely can tell there’s a new layout up for the holidays. The theme as if you didn’t know is from Keir’s 1974 film BLACK CHRISTMAS. Yeah I know it’s a little dark for the holidays but I thought we’d enjoy a little bit of Peter Smythe for a while. I’m currently working on the layout for the New Year, but this one will be up until at least the middle of January. I hope you enjoy it I know I did creating it. If you were here in the wee small hours of the morning you’d have noticed some hinkiness going on with the gallery. I was trying to get the colours right and my computer chose an inopportune time to crap out on me. Fortunately I was able to get things back up and running and complete the colour coding. I felt like a was dealing with HAL-9000 for a while this AM. I had visions of having to squeeze into my laptop’s harddrive and disconnect it. If it had started singing “Daisy, Daisy” I’d have thrown it over the balcony. Except for a few tweaks there you go. Let me know what you think.

New Domain for Keir Dullea Online
Posted By: keir dullea online |      2 Comments

As you can now see, I’ve moved the site to its own domain was that I thought Keir deserved a main site all to himself. The subdomain I had him under was not getting the site indexed on search engines, or if it was, it was buried back on like Google search page 33. Not good and certainly Keir deserves better. Moving it to a domain of its own makes sure people will see it and already, it’s showing up on page 3. So everything is moved and ready and tested. I’ll be adding three or four of Keir’s films to the gallery soon. Please keep watch.

One problem has come up though. The Media portion of this site which is hosted on another server is currently down. The company I’m hosted at is apparently offline as well so I’m at a loss as to what is happening. I’m trying to get in touch with them as of this posting. Keep checking back to see what is going on. I’ll post as soon as I know something.

Gallery Notice
Posted By: keir dullea online |      No Comments

After some consideration, I’ve decided to open the gallery up for registrations. By doing so you can rate pictures and leave a comment. One thing though, I’ve placed an anti-spamming filter on it so there is no way any spam will get through. All comments will await my moderation before they make it to the gallery. Also there is a section in the registration form where you MUST fill in where you first saw Keir. This is mandatory for your registration to be accepted. This also weeds out robots and other spyware/malware programs from attaching to the gallery, which also saves you, the viewer, from further harm.

Odyssey Gallery Completed
Posted By: keir dullea online |      No Comments

I finally got around to finishing the gallery in terms of the the skinning. Finally! It was a tough thing trying to decide on the design and colours. I hope you like it. I know I do. I think the thing that was sort of a happy accident was in the picture of Keir with his glasses and what looks like a script. In the photo he was sitting on a staircase outside. Well the way it ended up and with the other images, Keir looks like he’s sitting right on top of the monolith from 2001. As I said, happy accident.
