I’m going to take this time to promote my newest site for an actor I’ve loved for a very long time. His name is Jon Cypher and he starred for seven seasons on the NBC drama Hill Street Blues as Chief Fletcher P. Daniels, also starring Daniel J. Travanti and Veronica Hamel. Jon has had a long history in film and television and though he’s now retired from acting, I wanted to create a tribute of sorts to him. Please visit and check out the gallery. Thanks.
Yeah I know it’s been a while. Stuff happens. Anyway I have some new uploads. I was able to purchase these photos for the gallery. Not sheep by a longshot so if you’re going to post elsewhere, please credit back to the site. These are kind of rare and I thought they’d be a perfect addition to the gallery. I’ll not list them in post, rather where to find them in the gallery. Enjoy.
I’ve created a fanlisting for Keir. What is a fanlisting? Well I’ll take it directly from the front page of the fanlisting itself. Simply put, a fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. If you’d like to join, please feel free to click on the photo below to go to the fanlisting. Show your support for Keir.
Just got this in. Keir and Gary will be on Alec Baldwin’s new talk show on MSNBC this coming Friday (01 November 2013) at 10:00 PM discussing 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and it’s impact. Keir has is Big Daddy beard and Gary is looking as bored as always. Here is the information. I’ll have the screencaps and clip up after it airs.
Alec Baldwin stays up late with ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ stars
To mark the 45th anniversary of the genre-defining classic 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alec Baldwin sat down with the film’s stars, Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood, for his new MSNBC talk show, Up Late With Alec Baldwin.
In the clip below from Friday’s episode, Dullea talks about how director Stanley Kubrick couldn’t decide on the voice of HAL, the computer in control of the spaceship, and the solution he came up with while filming.
Just when I think I’m done with 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, it pulls me back in! I’ve been the lucky inheritor of a lot of photos from the film. There are quite a few of Keir as Dave Bowman, but I’ve also decided to include the other images I’ve acquired. Some are of Gary Lockwood (Frank Poole), William Sylvester (Heywood Floyd), Heather Downham and Penny Brahms who played stewardesses, and a few shots of the Discovery, life pods and Clavius Moonbase, and the dig zone where the monolith (TMA 1) was found. There are also included a few production stills of Keir with Gary and director Stanley Kubrick on location inside the ferriswheel, plus some original artwork posters from the film. I’m not entirely sure I’m completely done with 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, that will depend on if I find anymore. I hope you like the high quality of the photos, though some are the original negatives.
